The heaviness of not knowing what to do, where to turn, or how to start is too much to carry alone. I am here to lighten the load of coping with life’s struggles. Whether these are the difficulties of everyday life or responses to specific events we have the ability to seek out professional support.
I have benefited from therapy numerous times in my own life as a student, young parent and wife. I have personal experience with families and addiction, death by suicide, death of a spouse and many other life challenges that so many of us share.
I have 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) therapist in Tulsa and surrounding communities. I have earned distinction as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional from Evergreen Certifications as well as Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative care social worker from NASW. My career has allowed me the privilege to work with hundreds of families experiencing grief and loss. Managing loss of any kind; loss of a pet, a relationship, a job, a loved one are all significant and bear their own unique challenges.
I have facilitated thousands of family meetings to support families as they face the Aging of a loved one. The complexity of Aging and roles of adult children, autonomy, safety and caregiving are all important and often neglected conversations.
The heaviness of performance can cause severe anxiety in ourselves and specifically our teens. Adolescence and teens have yet to experience all of life’s trials and therefore have not developed the coping skills needed for the world they are navigating. I work with adolescents to geriatric ages and incorporate the support system identified by the individual to build healthy coping skills to be utilized now and throughout a lifetime.
It is my hope to help you identify your personal strengths and develop your healthy coping skills that have been there with you all along. Together we will help you recover from the burden and traumas you have experienced. We will ignite the resilience that lives in you to overcome and move forward. Together we will restore your sense of well-being and fulfillment.
You have taken a big step today by allowing me to introduce myself and I am encouraged you will gently move on to the next steps outlined in the Getting Started tab.
